The battle against cybercrime is raging every day, don’t be a casualty!

The Philippines now ranked fourth in terms of spending time on social media, with an average user spending three hours and 34 minutes. Leading the list was Kenya with three hours and 43 minutes, followed by South Africa with three hours and 41 minutes and Brazil with three hours and 37 minutes as of Feb 2024, source: Phil Star Global. Given the statistics, Is this something to be proud of or something to be concerned about? due to the ever growing threat of cybercrime where usual victims are common Filipino end-users?
Cybercrime & Cyber Security is a whole new universe to talk about but DSSI as an innovative solutions company will do its part to collaborate and perhaps help mitigate this ever growing threat of cybercrime at least starting from its organization going outside the fence , teaching and spreading awareness to our fellow Filipino people.

War, in all its forms, has had a significant impact on society throughout history, with battles won and lost shaping the course of events for future generations. But while most wars have been fought on the physical battlefield, a new kind of fight has emerged, and everyone is involved. This is again a WAR against cybercrime.
In my recent meeting with PCS Members at the CICC HQ, we tackled about the emerging threats of cybercrime, how to spread awareness, how to prevent them, and how to mitigate in case been compromised. For end-users of social media platforms and video streaming apps , awareness to threats is the best prevention, the simplest way to make end-users aware is the key. Yes, simplicity of information dissemination is the key to keep oneself away for being the casualty.

In case of a compromised account, like your social media account was hacked, contact 1326 hotline immediately to recover your account as soon as possible.
